Acrylic acid complexes in Brazil and China

  • A global partner for two world-scale projects
  • Standardized instrumentation decreases complexity
  • Device integration enables predictive maintenance
“The Endress+Hauser engineers have an in-depth understanding of the processes. That’s how we find optimal solutions.” Bernd Eidt, Project Manager, BASF Camaçari

Acrylic acid complexes in Brazil and China

What does all of this mean to our customers in their day-to-day work? Let me use three examples to show you how we support companies all over the world.

BASF, the world’s largest chemical company, spent several hundred million dollars to build two huge acrylic acid complexes in Brazil and China. Endress+Hauser was the main instrumentation vendor. As a global partner, we simultaneously managed the project at both locations and delivered more than 10,000 instruments, including third-party devices. Endress+Hauser and BASF have already completed many projects together. A strategic account manager from Endress+Hauser coordinates the worldwide activities and supports the customer during every project.

Instrumentation of biopharmaceutical systems

  • Measurement technology for all process steps in biopharmaceutical production
  • Instrumentation compliant with industry standards
“We need partners who understand the needs of the industry.” Randy Cotter Jr, President of Cotter Brothers

Instrumentation of biopharmaceutical systems

Biopharmaceutical manufacturing involves extremely demanding processes, not least due to strict regulations. Endress+Hauser has been working together with Cotter Brothers for many years. The highly respected US company delivers biopharmaceutical systems around the world. Cotter Brothers relies on high-quality flow, pressure, level, temperature and analytical measurement technology from Endress+Hauser, as well as on our industry knowledge. The company also knows that Endress+Hauser can provide expert support anywhere in the world.

„Wir haben mit den Geräten kaum Wartungsaufwand. Das hat zu deutlichen Einsparungen geführt.“ Martin Lillo, verantwortlicher Ingenieur, Statoil

Hydrogen sulfide measurements on a gas platform

  • Inline measurement of gas concentrations in the ppm range
  • Robust, compact and maintenance-free TDLA technology from SpectraSensors

Hydrogen sulfide measurements on a gas platform

Natural gas extraction requires separating the methane from other gases. Especially tricky is hydrogen sulfide, a substance that destroys the pipelines through corrosion. The concentration must not exceed 1 part in 2.5 million parts. The analyzers from SpectraSensors operate with a high degree of precision. The company has been part of Endress+Hauser since 2012 and is the market leader in laser-based gas analysis. The instruments are reliable, robust and compact and work without consumables. For this reason they are even suitable for use on production rigs like Statfjord A in the North Sea.
